Prior to the development of chamber technology, few alternatives were available for onsite wastewater disposal except for unsanitary cesspools and old-fashioned stone and pipe leachfields. Infiltrator pioneered a more efficient way to use the inherent capacity of soil to manage wastewater. Our chambers are direct replacements for old-fashioned stone and pipe leachfields. Installed in 2- to 3-foot-wide trenches or beds, they promote effluent infiltration into the soil with 100% efficiency. Greater effective infiltrative capacity means that our chambers can require as little as half the space of stone and pipe systems for equal or superior performance.
