POSITION TITLE: Civil/Environmental Engineer
Purpose: To develop and implement technical leadership programs and actions to support government relations requirements to assure ISI maximizes and maintains it's approval status for all products, and to assure the provision of technical support for ISI's internal and external customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Obtaining new approvals, revised approvals and maintaining (defending) current approvals.
- Managing or providing assistance in the research needed to advance the science in the onsite wastewater field. Establishing research project goals and schedules, and managing and implementing technical research projects.
- Addressing the hearts and minds of designers and regulators and other key players in the onsite wastewater community by developing and presenting technical presentation materials and research papers.
- Providing technical support for ISI’s products to our customer base.
- Aggressively pursuing the cluster (large) systems market by presentations, building sales tools, publications, identifying potential customers, and training ISI personnel.
Education:
BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Soil Science
Technical Skills/ Training:
EIT or PE strongly preferred
General Experience:
- Experience working with regulatory officials
- Technical interest and ability, with emphasis on wastewater science, environmental health, and/or soil science
- Willingness to travel
- Superior interpersonal and presentation skills
- Superior written communication skills
